Samburu County Women Rep Maison Leshoom and Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda on Monday donated Covid-19 items to Maralal County Referral Hospital.
The lawmakers donated sanitizers and face masks to aid in protecting frontline health workers and tackling the spread of the Coronavirus.
The leaders who were accompanied by the County Commissioner John Korir, expressed their commitment for concerted effort in the war against Covid-19 pandemic.
The lawmakers urged residents to strictly adhere to the Ministry of Health directives for their safety.
During the visit, the County Leaders were briefed on the Covid-19 preparedness by the Samburu County Government Health officials led by CEC Stephen Lekupe.
They visited the Covid-19 screening centre, isolation Ward and the treatment ward.
Lesuuda called on the County Government to continue with the sensitization residents on ways to curb the spread of Covid-19.
She pointed out that maintaining high levels of hygiene was the surest way of containing the spread of the pandemic.
