Uasin Gishu county Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno on Wednesday faced resistance in Tembelio, Moiben constituency.

The County Deputy boss was caught by surprise when crowds rejected his calls for a six-piece voting pattern in the county.

Chemno had a difficult time campaigning for Jubilee candidates with crowds saying they were only giving an assurance for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

His pleas to voters to ignore those contesting various seats as independent candidates and vote for Jubilee from the wards to the presidency was met with boos.

“I have a democratic right to say what I want and you can’t intimidate me,”said Chemno as residents started chanting slogans in support of Uasin Gishu Independent gubernatorial candidate Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop(Buzeki).

Buzeki has mounted massive campaigns in bid to unseat incumbent Governor Jackson Mandago.
