A journalist has threatened to sue Baringo Senator Gideon Moi for allegedly using a picture he took with him on his campaign posters without his permission.

The Baringo-based journalist Cheboite Kigen, who works with Nation Media, said he will sue Senator Moi for copyright infringement.

The journalist also pointed out that after seeking an explanation from the Senator, on why he used the photo without seeking his permission, he received death threats from Moi’s personal assistant Peter Chelang’a.

He said he has since been blocked from covering events atteded by the Kanu Chairman.

“I have since moved to Kabarnet town fearing for my life, not knowing the eventualities. I have reported the matter to police,” he said.

Senator Moi has unleashed campaign materials bearing his poster in a navy blue suit and a red waist coat with matching tie and pocket square.
